What is TrailBase?
TrailBase is an open-source backend shipped as a single executable built on Rust, SQLite, and Wasmtime with auth, admin UI, type-safe REST and realtime APIs, and custom endpoints via JavaScript, TypeScript, or Rust handlers. It targets lightweight self-hosted apps that want Firebase-like features with fewer moving parts.
